Magneto Gears
These gears are the best quality reproduction gears I have seen to date. These are fully machined from cast blanks or cut from steel bar stock. They are not cast from originals with teeth cast in place (this produces a rougher finish with a slightly smaller size to to shrinkage.) Some have parts numbers, others do not (some companies have claimed that their part numbers are trademarked, so the numbers are left off, lawyers.....) All gears come with keyways already cut.
The IHC M gears do not have the cutouts in the web of the gear. This is difficult to cast with a high yield and serves no purpose other than to lighten the gear. The associated idler gears are for the mags that mount at a 90 degree angle to the cam gear.
I have a lot of different gears for Associated mags. Check out the Associated Application Chart. This only covers the earlier 4-bolt bottom mag. If you have a chart showing the later 2-bolt mag, I would GREATLY appreciate a copy. I will have the rest of the gears by the end of the summer.
